I use the Love to Craft - Legendary (recycle) so I can break down legendaries for "legendary parts" so I can craft the legendaries I actually want. One piece isn't that great, but it gets very impressive if you stack it. How do the game mechanics of the chameleon effect (and, for that matter, stealth boys) work? It seems like once the enemies are alarmed, it doesn't matter anymore if you are nearly invisible and sneaking, even if going by the in-game graphics the enemies shouldn't see you from more than a meter away.Įach piece gives you a 20% boost to your stealth. How come the enemy knew exactly where to run? I doubt a supermutant is smart enough to triangulate the firing angle of a bullet based on his standing and the place on the head that it hit him. I mean, I'd understand if he went in the general direction from which he got shot, but no, he went straight for me. I could barely see the transparency effect from a few meters when I zoomed out the camera. So far good, but then I fired another shot when he had his back turned again (with a silencer, so no sound and no muzzle flare), and he made a beeline straight for me, attacking in melee. I fired a shot at an enemy while he was far away and his back was turned, and he started searching for someone in hsi area. But apparently not what the game engine thinks - enemies definitely do not act as though I'm near-invisible. And transparent is certainly what it looks like in-game.
